Elmo Rietschle C-Series machines use two precision claw-shaped rotors synchronized by gearing so they rotate without contacting each other inside the compression chamber.

The compression process operates dry without sealing fluid in the gas path. Internal compression provides an efficient alternative to traditional external-compression blower designs.

The C-Series is available as C-VLR vacuum pumps, C-DLR pressure compressors and C-KLR combined pressure/vacuum pumps.

How Does Elmo Rietschle Claw Technology Work?

Two synchronized claw-shaped rotors rotate in opposite directions without contacting each other. Their geometry draws gas into the machine, traps it, internally compresses it and moves it toward the discharge.

Dry Operation No sealing fluid is required within the compression chamber.
Non-Contacting Rotors Precision gearing keeps the claw rotors synchronized.

The claws of the C-Series feature an optimized, high precision shape and roll together without contact, synchronised by a precision gear set. The compression is achieved dry and wear free.
