Solid Particles
Dust, rust, pipe scale and other solid contaminants can damage equipment and contaminate industrial processes.
Protect pneumatic equipment, production processes and finished products with Atlas Copco compressed air filtration supplied and supported by CompreVac Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario.
Untreated compressed air can contain solid particles, condensed water, oil aerosols and oil vapour. These contaminants can damage pneumatic equipment, reduce process reliability and affect finished product quality.
Proper Atlas Copco filtration removes contaminants while maintaining efficient air flow through the compressed air system. Low pressure drop is especially important because excessive restriction increases the pressure the compressor must produce.
CompreVac supplies Atlas Copco compressed air filtration solutions for general industrial service, particulate filtration, coalescing filtration, silicone-sensitive applications and high-purity compressed air treatment.
Different contaminants require different filtration stages. Atlas Copco offers filtration technologies for particles, moisture, oil aerosols and oil vapour.
Dust, rust, pipe scale and other solid contaminants can damage equipment and contaminate industrial processes.
Condensed moisture can cause corrosion, pneumatic component problems and production contamination.
Fine oil droplets carried in the compressed air stream require efficient Atlas Copco coalescing filtration.
Vapour-phase hydrocarbons require activated carbon treatment when a higher level of compressed air purity is required.
CompreVac supplies Atlas Copco compressed air filters for industrial systems ranging from general plant air to highly contamination-sensitive processes.
Atlas Copco's compressed air filter range provides contaminant removal for industrial compressed air systems while minimizing pressure drop and operating costs.

Atlas Copco is a global leader in industrial compressed air technology, with an extensive portfolio covering compressors, dryers, filtration, condensate management, gas generation and complete compressed air systems.
CompreVac is an established Atlas Copco distributor serving Canadian industrial customers with equipment selection, application support, installation, parts and ongoing service.
Because filtration is only one part of compressed air treatment, CompreVac can evaluate the compressor, dryer, filters, condensate treatment and downstream air quality requirements as a complete system.
Atlas Copco compressed air filtration is often installed in stages. Coalescing filters remove liquid aerosols, particulate grades remove solid contamination and activated carbon filtration is used for oil vapour and odour reduction.
Removing contamination is only part of the job. Atlas Copco filters are designed to combine effective contaminant removal with efficient compressed air flow.
Atlas Copco filter media are available for aerosol, particulate and vapour contamination to achieve the air quality required by the process.
Efficient housing and element design helps reduce restriction through the compressed air filtration system.
Reducing pressure loss helps avoid unnecessary compressor discharge pressure and the associated energy consumption.
Filter selection depends on more than pipe size. CompreVac can help determine the appropriate Atlas Copco filter grade, housing size and filtration sequence for your compressed air system.
Atlas Copco filters should be sized for the maximum expected compressed air flow through the line.
Filter capacity varies with pressure and appropriate Atlas Copco correction factors may need to be applied.
Liquids, aerosols, solid particles and vapour require different Atlas Copco filtration technologies.
General plant air, painting and high-purity process applications require different filter arrangements.
Common questions about Atlas Copco compressed air filters, coalescing filtration, particulate filtration, silicone-free filters and activated carbon treatment.
The DD+, DDp+, PD+, PDp+, QD+, silicone-free and activated carbon filtration products shown on this page are Atlas Copco compressed air treatment products supplied and supported by CompreVac.
Yes. CompreVac is an established Atlas Copco distributor serving Canadian industrial customers with compressed air equipment, application support, parts and service.
Compressed air can contain dust, water, rust, oil aerosols and other contaminants. Atlas Copco filtration removes these contaminants to protect pneumatic equipment, instruments, processes and finished products.
A coalescing filter captures very small liquid droplets suspended in compressed air. These droplets combine within the filter media into larger droplets that can drain from the filter housing.
Both are coalescing filter grades, but PD+ provides higher-efficiency filtration for applications requiring lower residual aerosol contamination. The exact filtration sequence should be selected according to the required air quality.
DDp+ and PDp+ are Atlas Copco particulate filter grades used to remove dry solid contamination from compressed air.
QD+ uses activated carbon filtration to reduce oil vapour and hydrocarbon odour. It is normally used after upstream coalescing filtration where a higher level of compressed air purity is required.
Silicone-free filters are intended for processes such as painting where silicone-containing substances can interfere with surface quality or cause defects in the finished coating.
An activated carbon tower uses adsorption to remove oil vapour and odour from compressed air. It is used in high-purity applications where conventional particulate and coalescing filtration alone is not sufficient.
Pressure drop reduces the pressure available downstream. If pressure loss becomes excessive, the compressor may need to operate at a higher discharge pressure, increasing energy consumption.
Yes. CompreVac can help select the Atlas Copco filter size, filtration grade and filter sequence based on air flow, pressure, contaminant type and required compressed air quality.

DATASHEET
Superb quality air is a prerequisite in order to safeguard your instruments and ultimately your end product. Yet, when air is compressed, the concentration of dirt particles, oil carryover and moisture increases. To efficiently reduce all types of contamination with minimal pressure drop, Atlas Copco has designed a complete range of innovative filtration solutions for silicone-free applications such as painting.
These filters are free from substances that could cause defects in the paint and clear your compressed air stream from solid particles that could cause contamination.
The high efficiency carbon filter is capable of removing oil vapour and odour from compressed air. The activated carbon towers will, by the use of adsorption, reduce the residual oil content to lower than 0.003 mg/m³ at 35°C and 7 bar inlet pressure. The pressure drop is low and stays minimal during the lifetime of the filter. Within the specialised pharmaceutical, food and beverage, electronic and other industries where air purity is critical, there is often a requirement to remove residue.
