Dry Compression
No sealing fluid is required inside the compression chamber.
High-efficiency dry-running rotary claw vacuum pumps for industrial vacuum applications. CompreVac supplies and supports the Elmo Rietschle C-VLR range from compact machine vacuum pumps through larger centralized vacuum systems.
Industrial vacuum technology supplied and supported by CompreVac.
Elmo Rietschle C-VLR pumps provide dry, contact-free industrial vacuum. CompreVac supplies C-VLR claw vacuum pumps together with application engineering, system design, replacement equipment, parts and service.
Elmo Rietschle C-VLR vacuum pumps use two precision claw-shaped rotors that rotate in opposite directions without touching each other inside the compression chamber.
Gas is drawn into the machine and internally compressed as the available volume between the rotors decreases. Because the compression process is dry, no sealing fluid is required in the compression chamber.
The result is a robust vacuum technology well suited to continuous industrial operation, centralized vacuum systems and machinery requiring clean, dependable vacuum generation.
The Elmo Rietschle C-VLR combines internal compression with dry, contact-free operation for demanding industrial vacuum applications.
No sealing fluid is required inside the compression chamber.
Precision gearing synchronizes the claw rotors without rotor-to-rotor contact.
Dry, contact-free compression minimizes routine wear within the vacuum chamber.
The C-VLR range uses integrated air cooling without a separate cooling-water system.
Multiple C-VLR sizes allow CompreVac to match suction capacity and operating vacuum to machinery, process and centralized vacuum applications.
The compact C-VLR 60 provides approximately 40 CFM of suction capacity for smaller industrial vacuum applications requiring dependable, dry-running operation.
The C-VLR 62 and C-VLR 122 provide compact dry-running vacuum performance for industrial machinery requiring greater suction capacity while retaining contact-free claw operation.
The C-VLR 251 moves into larger industrial vacuum duties and is particularly well suited to CNC router holding, woodworking equipment, packaging and other machine vacuum applications.
These larger C-VLR machines provide higher-capacity dry-running vacuum for industrial production equipment, woodworking, CNC router systems and centralized vacuum applications.
The C-VLR 1000 extends Elmo Rietschle dry-running claw technology into high-capacity industrial and centralized vacuum systems requiring substantial continuous airflow.
Two claw-shaped rotors turn in opposite directions inside the housing without contacting each other. Their synchronized motion draws air into the vacuum inlet, transports it through the chamber and internally compresses it before discharge.
Dry-running claw vacuum technology is suitable for a broad range of machine and centralized industrial vacuum applications.
Vacuum holding and clamping of sheet materials during CNC machining.
Clamping, holding, dust extraction and automated woodworking machinery.
Vacuum handling, forming, evacuation and automated packaging equipment.
Sheet transport, folding, collating and post-press vacuum applications.
One engineered vacuum source supplying multiple production machines.
Vacuum transport of powders, granules and other process materials.
Elmo Rietschle manufactures industrial claw, rotary vane, screw, side-channel and liquid-ring vacuum and pressure technologies.
CompreVac supplies Elmo Rietschle C-VLR claw vacuum pumps with local application support, system engineering, replacement equipment, parts and service.
For a new vacuum installation, CompreVac can evaluate required suction capacity, operating vacuum, duty cycle, inlet conditions, filtration, controls and piping as part of the complete system rather than simply selecting a pump from a nominal airflow figure.
A dry-running claw vacuum pump uses synchronized claw-shaped rotors to move and internally compress gas without rotor contact and without sealing fluid inside the compression chamber.
The compression chamber operates dry and does not use lubricating oil as the sealing or working fluid in the process gas path.
The C-VLR family spans compact machine vacuum pumps through large industrial models, including the C-VLR 60, 62, 122, 251, 301, 401, 501 and C-VLR 1000 ranges.
The achievable continuous vacuum depends on the specific C-VLR model. Published C-Series literature shows maximum continuous vacuum down to approximately 50 mbar absolute for selected models.
Yes. Rotary claw pumps are commonly used for CNC router table holding because they provide continuous industrial vacuum with dry-running, low-maintenance operation.
Yes. Larger C-VLR models can be incorporated into engineered central vacuum systems supplying multiple machines or production areas.
Selection should consider required airflow at the operating vacuum, duty cycle, inlet conditions, piping losses, filtration and the complete vacuum system design.
Yes. CompreVac can integrate C-VLR vacuum pumps with filtration, receivers, controls, piping and other components as part of an engineered industrial vacuum system.
Yes. CompreVac provides industrial vacuum pump troubleshooting, replacement parts, field service and workshop repair support.
